We’ll give your e-bike a full mechanical check before you take it out, ensuring it's in top condition. You’re welcome to test ride it to make sure it fits perfectly.

Drop Off Your Ride

Return your e-bike and accessories in good condition, and we’ll check them over before finalizing your rental.

Cleaning Fee:

If the e-bike is returned excessively dirty, a cleaning fee of $10 to $30 may apply, depending on the condition.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the riding range?

Most riders get between 30-40km on a single charge, depending on the terrain and how much you use the electric assist. Don't worry though - if the battery runs low, you can still pedal normally like a regular bike.

What if I've never ridden an eBike before?

No worries! We'll get you started with a thorough introduction to your eBike, including controls, safety features, and basic handling. The electric assist makes riding easier, not more complicated.

Can I book in advance?

Absolutely! We recommend booking ahead, especially during peak season. You can choose your preferred bike size and model, though specific allocations depend on availability.

Can I swap bikes during a long-term rental?

Yes! Long-term renters can switch between different models (subject to availability) and maintain their remaining rental period.

What about insurance?

Insurance is included in your rental price. Please note there's a $1,000 excess (deductible) for any claims. The insurance covers the bike but not personal injury - we recommend having your own travel or personal insurance.

What about helmets and security?

We provide complimentary helmets (required by law in NZ) and a strong security lock. We'll demonstrate how to properly secure your bike when parking.

What if the battery gets low during my ride?

You have several options:

Return to our shop for a quick charge

Use pedal power (the bike works fine without assistance)
